No-weigh May

Ok - I'll admit it: I am OBSESSED with the scale. And its a sick obsession. Some days, I weigh myself before bed, and then again when I wake up. (and sometimes I actually GAIN weight while I sleep - explain that one) I know I'm healthy, and getting healthier. But somehow, that stupid (not so) little number on the scale means more than everything else.

So, I hereby profess that, starting today, I will not weigh myself for the entire month of May. I will not think about the scale. I will not even look at the scale - let alone step on it. I will work on running and eating healthy, and I will focus on how I look and feel.

I WILL NOT OBSESS ABOUT MY WEIGHT!

And I will be happier and healthier, both in body and spirit.

I did that in March and gained 10 pounds. Go figure!

hey...have you had your blood checked? I did and the Dr. said it was all outta whack...I'm on a med. now that just in 2 weeks is totally helping...If it is your blood levels then there is nothing you can do with workingout & diet...until that is fixed! I'm so happy I asked my Dr...what was wrong...I was starting to think I was just CRAZY! Nope...I'm not..I don't think! ;)

I've also heard awesome things about getting hormones checked and in balance.... I'm thinking of trying that in the next month or so. I'm having a heck of a time losing my last chunk of weight. I'm with you on the obsession w/the scale thing. It's so hard. I am going to be working my butt off this next month...and I'm thinking I may put my scale away for the month, too. It just discourages me if I see I'm not losing weight.... then I feel like eating like crap 'cause it "doesn't matter". Maybe I sound like a weirdo, but it's the truth for me. I got my blood and my thyroid checked back in September...and the dr said everything was OK, and I was SO disappointed. ha ha I thought, "There HAS to be some medical explanation for my fat arse"..... ha ha Did I already ask you to go to dinner next Friday night?? (speaking of eating...ha ha) We could go somewhere (kind of) healthy.... Let me know. We could do it another night if you want.... I just want to get together! :o)

Good for you, I hate the scale, in fact I no longer own one! I know I should own one, but I would be so obsessed! Hope you enjoy a scale free month!

I hope it works. I would like to get to that point, but I am still too obsessed. I only weigh myself once a week, but I cannot get past the numbers even though I know I'm more healthy and more toned. I just want to drop 5 lbs so bad!!!
