Just in case anyone is wondering, I'm a whopper virgin. What's the big deal? Are there really that many people in the U.S. who have never had a whopper? Maybe I should be on the commercials. :)
And yes, I've eaten a big mac before - once. It was awful. I really don't get what all the hype is about hamburgers.

LOVE BURGERS! :) They are awesome.
Hmm..the whopper really isn't that great. Stick with a real burger chain (i.e. Hell Burger, Fudds, etc.) because fast food kinda sucks.
I agree with Jess T. The good burgers are the ones that are fresh and on, like, the Fourth of July :)
I had a bison burger on Friday and it was so yummy. Because bison are ugly creatures.
I love "Because bison are ugly creatures" haha I'm still laughing about that.
I love burgers and actually used to love whoppers. (Whopper Jr, no pickles or onions). Hate big macs...gross. Whoppers seem a little fresher to me and I'm a big red meat fan. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. You aren't missing THAT much...mostly just a lot of fat.
I do like a good burger & whopper was my favorite to get when I was a vegetarian... without the meat of course. a yummy bun, mayo & ketchup lots of lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, & onions. I even turned a few people onto the whopper sans the meat patty!
I love it! A burger with the patty sounds delish!
I mean WITHOUT!
I'm a whopper virgin also. I don't do fast food burgers at all. I did have a burger from the Burger Bar in Vegas, and that was good, but it definitely wasn't "fast food". The cardboard served at the other places is just gross.
You're SO funny. I have always loved burgers, but since I've been on my diet...I have NOT craved them ONE BIT. Not one tiny, little bit. Maybe they weren't that good for me...?? ha ha Anyway, I loved the burgers at JCW's, if you decided to give one a try. :o) Loved the Christmas card, by the way!
I really like burgers :) YUM! Not so much the dripping mayo and other stuff, but they can be delish if I don't eat them often.
Megan also is right. It's amazing how many fast foods can be altered healthier and better tasting! You don't even miss some of the junk!
Big Macs are so disgusting - I think it has to do with the "special sauce". (I'm gagging just thinking abouyt it.)
Now Quarter pounders - different story. :-)
I shouldn't have read this at lunch time... it's going to take all my will power not to have a Jr. Whopper for lunch. Ugh.
We like whoppers here! They are way McCrap!!!! I just eat mine without Onions and Ketchup!
I freaking love hamburgers, but NOT fast food ones. I have never had a whopper either, or a Mc-whatever one...
I'm with you - I don't like whoppers either. Or Big Macs for that matter.
Now In-N-Out burgers are delish! Oh and if you ever get the chance to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise at Planet Hollywood, you should try it. They are fresh and juicy and oh so good! My mouth is watering just thinking about them....
Oh man besides In-N-Out, whoppers are the best. First of all they don't taste like cardbord and you can order them anyway you want and they get it right. Mine are always no-mayo, heavy pickles. Yummy!
It sounds like a lot of us are burger snobs. :D I don't like fast food ones at all either (although the Whopper Jr isn't too horrible.) Home grilled is the best!
I am a Whopper virgin, and I even used to work at BK when I was 16! Proud of it too.
Now, the double cheese burger, well thats another story. Can't live without meat man.
Oh, never had a big mac either. NASTY
there was a time in my life when I was very very poor. I was living in Southern California on $800/ month, which is like $100 a month here. And for a while BK had Whoppers for $.99. So my boyfriend and I would scrape together our spare change and split one for lunch twice a week. They saved my life, in that way, so I have a warm spot in my heart for Whoppers now.
I prefer the Big Mac to the Whopper....
Hamburgers are great but I don't get to eat many. I like my beef flame-broiled, which is why I like do like Whoppers and Carl's Jr. hamburgers much better than McDonald's. That said, there are better hamburgers out there, but when you're on a budget, I'd go with BK.
